Monday, June 11, 2018 - Beach Day
Please send in your child's blue bag each day so they can carry their projects home safely. (We know the Kdg. doesn't have blue bags - they can carry their projects home).

The 2 and 2 ½’s classes made their own ocean in a bottle. The children added plastic fish, shells, and glitter to a small plastic water bottle filled with blue water. The children also made a starfish stick puppet. Then spread a line of glue along the arms, cover the glue with glitter sand and glue cheerios for the tube feet.

The 3’s classes made their own ocean in a bottle. The children added plastic fish, shells, and glitter to a small plastic water bottle filled with blue water. . The classes decorated sun visors with foam ocean creatures. The children loved playing and splashing in the water tables.

The 4’s were fine tuning their small motor skills, stringing flowers and cut straws onto a lanyard to make colorful leis. The children also made a sandcastle on paper. They outlined the castle with a q-tip and glue, and then coated sand on the glue. The children loved playing and splashing in the water tables.

The kindergarten class enjoyed making leis by threading flowers and cut straws onto a needle and yarn. The children decorated sun visors with ocean themed stamps dipped in neon fabric paint. The children loved playing and splashing in the water tables.

Snack: Everyone mixed a spoonful of icing and a drop of blue food coloring. Then iced a cupcake topped with Swedish fish and rainbow sprinkles. What a yummy snack!
